Airplane parts manufacturer ASCO suffered a ransomware attack on June 7 that prompted the firm to shut down production facilities in Belgium, Canada, Germany and the US for at least one week.
The ransomware hit the network of ASCO’s production plant in Zaventem, Belgium. The company has not indicated if the other factories were shut down because the ransomware subsequently spread to these sites or simply as a precaution.
