Putin says US-Russia relations are getting ‘worse and worse’
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that US-Russia relations “are going downhill, they are getting worse and worse,” adding that the current US administration has made “several dozen decisions on sanctions against Russia.”
A day earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that wants his country to have “a great relationship with Russia.” However, Trump also promised to send 1,000 US forces to Poland as a deterrent against potential offensive moves by Russia. Putin and Trump are both set to attend a G20 summit in Japan later this month. The two leaders are expected to hold a meeting at the summit.
