The Dutch intelligence service (MIVD) on Tuesday warned that increased cyber espionage efforts by China and Russia pose a threat to the country and to all of Europe. “Offensive (cyber) activities, in particular by Russia and China, are worrying,” the MIVD stated in a new report.
The agency blamed China of trying to steal military intelligence and also expressed concern about Russia’s “growing involvement in conflicts that are outside Russia’s traditional areas of interest.” It also warned about cyber threats from Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and Syria.
