A recent Kaspersky Lab survey among US and Canadian citizens highlights how issues related to cybersecurity and data protection can stress people out. More than two-thirds of respondents (68%) said that news of data breaches causes them to feel stressed, although this number was far higher among people who have advanced (74%) or expert knowledge (86%) in cybersecurity, while it was much lower for respondents who had no relevant knowledge (44%).
Other striking findings were the fact that respondents on average considered having their bank account compromised to be a more stressful event than losing their job, and that a whopping 75% of people feel stressed about how many passwords they need to remember.
