Dark web marketplace Wall Street Market (WSM) has shut down in typical underground fashion by pulling an exit scam on its users. The website’s admins have disappeared, taking $14.2 million in user funds with them. The shutdown happened about a week before Dream Market, the largest marketplace on the dark web, is closing up shop.
The exit scam is a case of criminals stealing from criminals, since WSM was used for the sale of narcotics, arms, and malware. Due to the closure of WSM and the imminent shutdown of Dream Market, the T•chka Market will soon be the only large marketplace left on the dark web.
