According to Verizon’s new Mobile Security report, 83% of organizations believe mobile threats puts them at risk in 2018, with 81% saying that their employees where their biggest risk factor in the context of mobile security.
The study also found that 67% of organizations believe their cyber security posture is insufficient to protect them against mobile threats. Despite this, almost half (48%) of firms have compromised on mobile security because this made it easier to ‘get the job done.’ The report shows that this is not a wise decision, because organizations that made it were about 2 times more likely (46%) to experience a security breach than those that did not sacrifice mobile security (24%).
