At a meeting with Chinese vice premier Liu He at the White House, US President Donald Trump has stated that after two days of negotiations, the United States and China are on their way to reach the “biggest deal ever made”. Trump also said that he would have one or even multiple meetings with Chinese president Xi Jinping in the near future to close a new trade deal.
Chinese state news agency Xinhua reported that “the leaders of the two sides had frank, concrete and constructive discussions on issues of trade balance, technology transfer, intellectual property protection, implementation mechanisms… and made important progress.”
