China shuts down 4,000 websites in purge on e-books hosting and ‘improper values’

In its most recent crackdown on internet content, China has shut down 4,000 websites and accounts for copyright infringements and the spreading of “improper values, vulgarity or obscenity.” This series of crackdowns appeared to target websites hosting free e-books.
