NASA recently launched a toolkit that will enable businesses and entrepreneurs to more easily access NASA’s trove of satellite imagery resources. While the resources have been available, they have been spread over more than 50 agency websites, making access difficult for all except scientists and researchers who learned to navigate the uncoordinated systems. The “bringing NASA technology down to earth” effort boasts “significant untapped potential for commercialization” and comes with online resources promoting the commercial use of the data.
