The U.S. has escalated the ongoing trade war with China, publishing a list of $200 billion worth of products to be hit with tariffs. Over 6,000 items are on the list, ranging from food items to minerals and consumer goods, and will be taxed at 10%. The list will be adjusted through July and August, with the potential to go into effect in September. The White House has declared that the tariffs are responding to unfair trade practices by China, including intellectual property rights infringements.
