Only one day after a federal judge approved AT&T’s acquisition of Time Warner in what may be a major precedent-setting decision for anti-trust law, Comcast made a $65 billion dollar offer for 21st Century Fox, outbidding a recent offer made by Disney. Without a reversal or new case in court, massive acquisitions of this kind may dramatically increase in frequency, changing the telecoms/entertainment business landscape.
